Odisha SEI Salary

 The Senior Economic investigator of the Planning and Convergence department of Odisha has a scale pay of Rs35400 to Rs 112400 with a pay matrix level 9 of cell 01. The  Senior Economic Investigator in Odisha SSC will receive a monthly salary of Rs25300 for the first year.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha SEI Vacancy

The following eligibility and age criteria a candidate needs to fulfill to become eligible for the OSSC SEI Recruitment exam.

Age Limit: The Minimum age limit is 21 years and the Maximum age limit is 38 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification: For the post of OSSC Senior Economic Investigator, the candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate degree in one of the following:

Economics or Applied Economics, Agriculture Economics or Resource Economics or Commerce or Mathematics, Sociology with Statistics as one of the papers or Geography with Regional Planning as one paper or Statistics with Econometrics/Regional Planning or Business Administration or Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized university.

Odisha SEI Recruitment Selection Process

The candidates for the Odisha Senior Economic Investigator recruitment will be selected on the basis of performance in the Written examination and interview. The Written examination will be conducted offline.

The OSSC will conduct the SEI examination in 4 stages Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, Skill test in Computer application, career assessment followed by a viva. The detailed exam pattern is given below.

OSSC SEI Exam Pattern 2022

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission has published OSSC SEI Syllabus 2022 and Exam Pattern. The Odisha Senior Economic Investigator Syllabus and exam pattern will help you to prepare for the upcoming OSSC SEI Recruitment 2022.

The detailed SEI Written exam pattern is as follows

SEI Preliminary Exam Pattern

• The preliminary exam will be conducted for 100 marks.
• The questions will be objective MCQ type with 4 options.
• The mode of examination is offline OMR sheet mode
• There shall be 100 questions from the General Awareness section
• Each question carries 1 mark.
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks the wrong answer.
• The duration of the exam is of 90 minutes
• The preliminary examination will be qualifying in nature.

WEO Mains Exam Pattern

• The Main exam will be conducted for 200 marks.
• Both objective and subjective questions will be asked from General English, Odia, and an optional subject.
• The duration of the exam is 3 hours

Skill Test in Computer Application

A practical skill test will be conducted for 30 marks. The duration of skill test is of 30 minutes.

Viva

Viva will be conducted for 30 marks.

OSSC SEI Syllabus 2022

Preliminary Exam: The Preliminary Examination will be held on General Awareness and will be of objective type with multiple choices of answers to be answered in the OMR Sheet. Questions on General Science, Current Events, Socio-Economic and Political Situations, History, Geography, Human Rights & Responsibilities, Knowledge of Computers, English Grammar, Arithmetic of HSC Standard and etc. as may be commonly expected from Degree qualified person.

The examination will be of qualifying in nature. The candidates numbering 12 times of the vacancy in each reserved/unreserved category shall be selected for the main examination.

Main Examination:

(a) General English — 50 marks
The pattern of questions on General English will broadly include Comprehension of a given passage, précies writing, usages & vocabulary, short essay writing, and knowledge of grammar.
(b) Odia Language-
The questions will include comprehension of a given passage, letter, application, report writing, etc. usage and vocabulary, short essay writing, and translation from English to Odia.

(c ) Optional Subject: The candidate shall opt for any of the following optional papers of which question shall be of graduation standard. The detailed syllabi for optional subject papers for examination are (i) Economics (ii) Applied Economics (iii) Agriculture Economics (iv) Resource Economics (v)Commerce (vi) Mathematics (vii) Sociology with Statistics as one of the papers (viii) Geography with Regional Planning as one of the paper (ix) Statistics with Econometrics as one of the paper (x) Statistics with Regional Planning as one of the papers (xi) Business Administration (xii) Computer Science (xiii) Information Technology.
