OSSC Junior Clerk Exam Pattern 2023
The Odisha Staff Selection will conduct a series of exams to shortlist the candidates for the posts of OSSC Junior Clerk. The detailed plan of examination and the Pattern of Examination is given below.
The OSSC Junior Clerk Selection consists of a four Stage Process which is as follows
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
- The Preliminary Examination will be conducted in Online mode.
- In Prelim Exam there will be only One Paper which is General Awareness.
- The Questions will be Objective MCQ Type.
- There will be a total of 100 Questions and Each carry 1 Mark.
- There will be a negative marking and for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- The duration of the Preliminary exam is 1.5 Hours.
This Junior Clerk Preliminary Exam Will be qualifying in nature. The candidates who will qualify for the Preliminary examination will be called for the stage 2 Main Examination.
Stage 2: Main Written Examination
This stage-2 of the OSSC Junior Clerk Exam selection process is the Main Written Examination. It shall consist of two papers each of 100 marks.
Paper 1 consists of questions from Odia and English. Questions will be subjective type. The standard of question will be of HSC Standard. There will be no negative marking on Paper 1. The Duration of Paper 1 is of 2 hours.
Paper 2 will be of Objective MCQ type. It consists of two subjects Mathematics and Basic Computer Skills. There will be 50 questions on each subject. There will be a negative marking and 0.25 will be deducted for each wrong response.

Candidates about 3 times the vacancies in order of merit category wise based on the marks of the mains written examination will be shortlisted to appear for Stage 3.
Stage 3: Computer Skill
This stage-3 of the OSSC Junior Clerk Exam selection process is the Computer Skill Test. It carries 50 marks. Candidates have to score at least 15 marks to qualify for the skill test.
Stage 4: Document Verification
Document verification will be done on a date to be fixed by the Commission.
