Qualification for SSC MTS Exam
Matriculation/10th Pass from any recognized board in India is the minimum educational requirement to sit for the SSC MTS Exam.
The SSC MTS Exam has two age ranges: 18-27 years and 18-25 years. Some sectors have a maximum age requirement of 25, while others have a maximum age requirement of 27. The positions are allocated based on category, age, and state.
SSC MTS 2023 Selection Procedure
According to the SSC MTS 2023 notice, the SSC MTS Exam selection process consists of an objective type computer-based exam. The exam will be conducted in two sessions. The details selection process is as follows.

- Physical Test (PET/ PST)- Only for Havaldar Posts
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination
Only the positions for CBIC/CBN Havaldar are subject to physical examination.
SSC MTS 2023 CBT Exam Pattern and Syllabus
There will be multiple-choice, objective-type questions on the computer-based test. The tests will be given in 13 regional languages in addition to English and Hindi.
There won’t be any negative marking in Session-I. In Session II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.
SSC CBIC, CBN Havaldar Physical Test
The candidates who clear the written exams will go through a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The following requirements are to get selected in the physical test.
The height requirement for the CBIC/ CBN Havaldar is 157.5 cm for Males and 152 cm for Females. Male candidates should also have a minimum chest size of 76 cm with at least 5cm expansion.
Male candidates should also have to complete a walking test of 1.6 Km in 15 minutes. While the female candidates need to walk 1 Km in 20 minutes.
