Odisha Geologist Salary Structure

The Salary of an Odisha Geologist is Rs56100/- in Level 12, Cell-1 of pay matrix under ORSP Rules 2017 with usual dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the government of Odisha from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: The Minimum age limit is 21 years and the Maximum age limit is 32 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification: For the post of OPSC Geologist Recruitment, Candidates must hold at least a second class Master Degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Science from any recognized university in India.

Mode of Selection

The candidates for the OPSC Geologist recruitment will be selected on the basis of performance the Geologist Written examination followed by Viva Voce Test.

Pattern of Examination

• The written examination consists of two papers with a total of 450 Marks.
• The question paper will be in English Language Only
• There will be 75 Questions in Paper 1 & 150 Questions in paper 2.
• The duration of paper 1 is 90 Minutes and Paper 2 is 180 Minutes
• All the questions will be objective MCQ type.
• Each Question Carries 2 marks and there will be negative marking. For Each incorrect answer 0.5 mark will be deducted.
• The Viva Voce will be conducted for 50 Marks.
