The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has published the recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Librarian. There is one Library Assistant vacancy available under the Director of Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. Candidates can apply for the post through online mode from 22nd January 2022 to 13th February 2022.
OSSC Assistant Librarian Exam Pattern 2023
The Odisha Staff Selection will conduct Computer-based Recruitment Examinations to shortlist the candidates for the posts of an assistant librarian. The Selection Process will be a three-stage process Written Examination, Skill Test and Certificate Verification.
1. Written Examination
This stage-1 of the Odisha Assistant Librarian Exam selection process is the Main Written Examination. It shall consist of 100 marks. The detailed subject and distribution of mark is given below

- The duration of the written exam is 90 minutes
- The Questions will be objective MCQ type questions.
- There will be a negative marking and for each wrong response 0.25 marks will be deducted.
2.Computer Skill Test
A Practical skill test will be conducted for 30 marks. The skill test in Computer Application will be qualifying in nature.
3.Certificate Verification
Candidates two times of the vacancies shortlisted for Certificate Verification.
OSSC Assistant Librarian Syllabus 2023

According to the latest Odisha Assistant Librarian Notification 2022, the Syllabus of OSSC AL Exam Syllabus is as follows
Details of Syllabus (Paper-I): The questions in this paper shall be of the H.SC standard.
- General English:- Comprehension of a given passage, vocabulary, Usage & Grammar.
- Odia Language:- Comprehension of a given passage, vocabulary, Usage & Grammar.
- General Studies:-The questions will comprise General Science, Current affairs, environmental issue, Human Rights issues, Indian Polity, Indian History & Geography, reasoning & mental abilities.
Paper-II Syllabus: Paper-II syllabus will be the same as the syllabus of Library and Information Science.
Syllabus of skill test:
Computer Fundamentals:- Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint), MS Access & Usage of Internet services.
