J&K Prosecuting Officer Recruitment 2023 Exam Pattern

The Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission will conduct a 3 stage Examination to select the candidates for the posts of J&K Prosecuting officer. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performances in the following exams.

• Preliminary Exam
• Main Examination
• Interview

1. Preliminary Examination

This stage-1 of the JKPSC Prosecuting Officer selection process is the Preliminary Written Examination. It shall consist of two papers each of 200 marks. The preliminary examination is for shortlisting the candidates for the main examination. The detailed subject and distribution of mark is given below

• The duration of each paper is 2 hours
• The Questions will be objective MCQ-type questions.
• There will be a negative marking and for each wrong response, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Main Examination

• Mains exam consists of seven papers
• English paper is of conventional essay type
• English paper will be qualifying in nature
• The duration of the exam is 3 hours for each paper
• Each paper consists of 2 sections and each section has 4 questions

3. Interview

Candidates 3 times the vacancies in order of merit will be called for the interview. The interview will be carried out for 200 marks.
