The pay scale for the Odisha Jail Warder is Rs 19900/- to Rs63200/- as per ORSP Rule 2017. The initial appointees will get a monthly remuneration of Rs13300/- for the first year.
Jail warder Eligibility Criteria
The following educational qualification and age criteria candidates need to fulfill to become eligible for the Odisha Jail Warder Recruitment 2022.
Age Limit: The Minimum age limit is 21 years and the Maximum age limit is 25 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.
Educational Qualification: For the post of OSSSC Jail Warder, the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination or any equivalent exam by any recognized Board. Candidates must have knowledge of basic computer and IT skills.
Jail Warder Selection
The Odisha Prison Recruitment board will conduct exams in two stages to select the candidates for the Jail Warder post. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the exam.
Stage I of the OPRB Jail warder recruitment is the Computer Based written exam and Stage II is the Physical measurement and efficiency test.
Pattern of Examination
The OPRB will conduct a computer-based written examination. The detailed exam pattern is as follows
- The written exam will be conducted for 100 marks.
- The questions will be objective MCQ type with 4 options.
- The mode of examination is an online computer-based test.
- There shall be 100 questions.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks the wrong answer.
- The duration of the exam is of 120 minutes
