The Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Written examination is conducted in two papers. Both the papers will be conducted in offline mode. Questions will be of multiple-choice questions.

The first paper is divided into two sections: General English and Odia Language. The second paper is a General Studies exam that covers topics such as General Science, Current Affairs, History, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Aptitude, Reasoning (verbal and non-verbal), and Basic Computer.

Paper 1 will consist of 100 questions and Paper 2 will consist of 200 questions. Each Question carries 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect response.
