UPSC CDS(II) Recruitment 2021: The notification to conduct Combined Defence Services(CDS) exam II 2021 in the month of November has been released.

The Union Publish Service Commission(UPSC) has published a notification to conduct the CDS(II) entrance examination. This entrance exam is conducted for admission in the various posts of OTA, IMA, INA, AFA.

There are a total of 339 vacancies available. The registration process for CDS exam II has already started. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 4th August to 24th August 2021. Eligibility Criteria for CDS(II) Recruitment

Candidates are required to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to apply for CDS (ii) entrance examinations.

Age Limit

  • For IMA— male unmarried candidates born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2003 only are eligible.
  • For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2003 only are eligible.
  • For Air Force Academy— Minimum age 20 and maximum 24 years as of 1st July 2022 which is born not earlier than 2nd July 1998 and not later than 1st July 2002.

Educational Qualification

  • Indian Military Academy : Must have degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Officers’ Training Academy: Must have degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Air Force Academy: Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering

Candidates who are studying in the final year/semester Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply provided the candidate should not have any present backlog up to the last semester/year for which results have been declared up to the time of submission of application.

Examination Pattern

The written exam consists of Objective Type questions with a time limit of 2 hrs (two hours) and a maximum score of 100(one hundred) points for each subject.

For candidates applying to the Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy, a written test consisting of English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics is required, as well as a written test consisting of English and General Knowledge for candidates applying to the Officers Training Academy.
